July 10 1857 [Died] On Saturday, the 4th inst., James Davis of Tamlaghtard, parish of Magilligan, hung himself in a stable; he had been unwell for some time. On the previous Thursday he had gone into Newtownlimavady and had lifted £20, with the intention of going to an asylum in Glasgow for treatment. An inquest was held on Monday, the 6th inst., before William Lane, Esq., M.D., and a jury of neighbours, a verdict was returned in accordance with the facts. He was 49 years of age, and unmarried
