Kia Ora, I am looking for more information about the Cuthbertson Family - They immigrated to New Zealand in the 1870s. My great-great-grandfather was Alexander Cuthbertson who was born in 1868 and would like to know more about his parents James Cuthbertson & Mary Jane Irvin. Thanks

My 2X great grandmother was named Esther aka Essy Beavers and was born abt 1810 most likely in Dungannon area, County of Tyrone. I have not yet discovered any sort of birth record so I do not even know her parentage. She married an English born coal miner named John Duery in 1831. Before moving from Ireland to Northumberland County, England they had three children born also in the Dungannon area. Jane Duery b. abt 1832, John Duery b. abt. 1834 and my great grandmother Sarah Duery b. abt. 1836. Need help finding and securing copies of any documentation that might exist.
Thank you!

Hi
I'm researching my husband's family. I'm particularly looking information on Robert David Smyth/Smith, Orritor Craigs Parish of Derryloran. He had a son Andrew Smyth and also I think a Samuel who went to Canada. Looking in census Andrew was either born 1852 or 1847. In 1901 census he recorded age as 49 and in 1911 it was recorded as 64. Andrew is my husband's Great Grandfather. Andrew married Margaret Moore also from Orritor Craigs. On their marriage registration Andrew's father is recorded as Robert David Smyth and Margaret's father is recorded as James Moore.
Any help appreciated on Robert David or Andrew's siblings would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi CTI! I'm searching for any background information (ie parents & siblingss' names, emigration date etc.) of my g/g/g-m Margaret Jane Symington, Simington et al, who was b.1817 Dungannon, Co. They raised 5 chn: Margaret Jane C./Moodie (b.1843); Caroline Sydney C./ Blundell(b. 1845); Sarah Ann C./ Cowling (b.1847); Charles Henry C. (b/1850) and my g/g-f Alfred William C. (b.1852). Margaret Jane Symington / Caldwell Snr d. 1891 in Pyrmont, Sydney.

Additional Info: My g/g/g-f Charles Campbell C's g-f and my g/g/g/g/g-f Robert Caldwell (b.ca 1735 Belfast?, Co. Robert C./Sarah H. Todd is my other "brickwall". So much for My Journey , but being 75 yrs old, I'm running out of time to solve both brickwalls!!.

In anticipation of a response:"Many thanks for taking the time for reading my message and hopefully I receive back any detail/s or direction to take at all, which may help me to continue my difficult journey of discovering my maternal ancestory above and my current "brickwall".

Kind Regards - Bob C.

P.S I have only discovered this great website and appreciate the time and effort your dedicated volunnteers give to it and will obviously need to donate, if my "brickwall" is removed in any small way.
