This book has taken a novel approach, in that the writers had the benefit of the DNA test results of four Henderson descendants of Megantic County.
This made it possible to follow their ethnicity from Norwegian Vikings to northern Scotland around the year 1,000 (probably intermarried with Picts soon after), onward to the Henderson Barons and Baronets of Fordell, Fifeshire, Scotland beginning in 1216, with our Megantic County Hendersons emigrating much later to Aghaloo Parish, County Tyrone, before some of them moved on in the 1820s to Megantic County, Quebec, Canada, while other branches remained in Aghaloo parish, and elsewhere in Ulster. The publication includes several hundred primary records and old photographs. Evans Books, 2022, Gwen Barry and Dale Wright, 515 page.
