Names of all who seem to have come from Ireland. Please read the Preface as it explains the contents.

Preface

The following list of immigrants includes many of those who came to New England between he years 1700 and 1775, with additions at either end. The list is the accumulation of years and has had the help of many people, too numerous to mention by name, for whose assistance I am most grateful. It comes from many sources, some accurate and some inaccurate, and I have, in only a few instances, gone back of the printed record. Inevitably, therefore, there will be mistakes, which I hope time and friendly people may gradually eliminate. In some cases, mostly in the records of ships entering Boston, those may have been included as immigrants who were merely returning from a trip to New York, or even a trip abroad. All of these may not have been discovered and taken out.

The list is only intended to be a guide toward further investigation, and as such it is hoped that it will prove useful to many.
