The following is a list of the criminal cases, with the rule of the court: -

THOMAS MILLARS, WILLIAM CHEVERS, & WILLIAM FIELDS

For having at Cookstown, on the 6th Feb. last, stolen a drawer, value 6l [£], the property of WM. AUSTON. Rebound to appear for trial at next sessions, prosecutor being unable to attend in consequence of ill health

WILLIAM EVANS & MATILDA EVANS

For having, at Dungannon, on the 17th of January last, stolen one gander and two geese, the property of JOHN ROBSON; also indicted for subsequent felony. Guilty – to be transported for ten years

NATHANIEL BADGER, sen., NATHANIEL BADJER (sic), & J. BADGER

For having at Tamnamore, on the 6th of November last, stolen two cows, the property of RICHARD LLOYD. Prosecution withdrawn by consent of court

BELL MITCHELL & MARY DEARY

For having at Cookstown, on 22nd December last, stolen a sum of money from the person of TIMOTHY VINCENT. Not guilty

SAMUEL BARKER, sen., SAMUEL BARKER, jun., HUGH BARKER, FELIX BARKER, MARY JANE BARKER, ANNE BARKER & SALLY BARKER

Rescue. The jury disagreed and were discharged by consent

CATHERINE KELLY

At Ballintrain stolen a handkerchief, the property of CATHERINE HALL. Guilty – to be imprisoned six calendar months, hard labour

Having at Mulnagore, on the 14th February last, received a quantity of woollen yarn, the property of ISAIAH HOGSHEAD, knowing same to have been stolen. Not guilty

Rescue at Anaghone, on the 7th January last. Guilty – to be imprisoned one calendar month

SAMUEL BARKER

Rescue, at Cookstown on the 6th March last. Not guilty

PHILIP McGUIGAN, MICHAEL McGUIGAN, HANNAH McGUIGAN & SALLY McGUIGAN

Having at Derrychrin, on the 4th of March last, assaulted ARCHIBALD ALLEN. Guilty, Philip to be imprisoned one calendar months – the other three one day each

JOHN ANDERSON

Having at Temonnmagurk, on the 3rd of March last, stolen a quantity of oats, the property of PETER RAFFERTY. Not guilty

SUSAN DONNELLY

Having at Drumcoo, in the month of February last, stolen one iron hook, the property of JAMES WILSON – submitted – to be imprisoned one week in bridewell

Rescue at Killyleaven on the 30th of January last. Submitted – To be discharged

Having at Killyleaven, on the 30th January last, assaulted FRANCIS CUSH. Submitted

Having at Dungannon, on 28th March last, stolen a purse, containing some money, the property of SAMUEL MONTGOMERY. Not guilty

Having at Donamoney, stolen a horse, the property of JOHN CASEY. Not guilty

Having, at Killyman, on the 15th of March, assaulted JOHN BROWN. Submitted – fined 6d

Having at Aughnacloy, on the 20th March, assaulted ROBERT McCRACKEN. The prisoner traversed in prox.

Having at Dungannon, on 28th March, stolen a purse containing some money, the property of ANNE SIMPSON. – Submitted – to be transported seven years

Having at Carnteel, on the 20th March, assaulted ROBERT McCRACKEN. Prisoner traversed in prox

Having at Castlecaulfield, on the 1st of April, stolen a single blanket, the property of MARY WISHARD. Submitted – to be imprisoned one calendar month
