CARRICKMORE PETTY SESSIONS.

(FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT)

This Court was held on Tuesday last by Captain Holt Waring, R.M., chairman; Mr. R. M. Lowry, J.P.

The following are the principal cases. Jane Kane, a servant residing with Dr. Corry, Carrickmore, summoned Patrick Goorley, William McGinn. Wm. Fox, and Bartley McIlroy, for assaulting her while going to a tent meeting, on Sunday, the 1st August, by throwing stones. After a good deal of wavering evidence on part of the plaintiff, the case was dismissed. Mr. Reynolds appeared for the defendants.

James Dixon v. James McDonald, for rescue of seized goods. Postponed for one month.

Eliza McKernan v. John Colgan, both of Aldrummond for assaulting her on the night of the 21st. Adjourned to next court day.

Michael Martin v. Patrick Martin, for leaving his service, time not expired. Dismissed.

The Police v. John McKernan, Michael Conway and Patrick Conway, for assaulting John McAleer in Carrickmore, on 27th August. Dismissed.

Constable George Marshall v. Bernard McBallan, Clare, for being drunk. Fined 6d and costs.

Sub-Constable Thomas Donnell v. James Tracy, for being drunk and disorderly in Carrickmore, on 24th September. Fined 2s 6d and costs.

Same v. Charles McCormick, drunk and disorderly in Carrickmore on 24th. Fined 1s and costs.

Same v. James McCulloch, for being drunk in Carrickmore, on 24th. Fined 2s 6d and costs.

Sub-Constable Redding v . John O’Brien, for obstructing the police in discharge of their duty. Fined 5s and costs.

George Gillespie, Sixmilecross v. Wm. Ewing, Carrickmore, for assaulting him in Carrickmore on 24th. The case was dismissed.

Catherine Eardly v. Frank McGlone, for assaulting her in her own house, on the 19th, because she gave refuge to his wife, whom he turned out. Fined 5s and costs

Sub-Constable Thomas Donnelly v. Frank McGlone, for being drunk on the public street ,on the 19th. Fined 5s and costs

The remainder of the business was of no public interest.
