October 11 1876 | FATAL ACCIDENT NEAR STRABANE. On Monday evening a sad accident occurred near Sion Mills. Miss Lowry, only daughter of Mr. Marshall Lowry, Edenmore [Co. Donegal] , while on a visit to Miss Oliphant, of Carricklee, went with that lady to visit another friend seated on a cart, when by an accident, the horse started and the cart upset, throwing Miss Lowry off and killing her almost instantaneously.
