SIGERSON. – December 18, at four o’clock a.m., at his residence, the Foundry, Holy Hill, Strabane, William Sigerson, Esq., after a protracted illness. The deceased was known as a kind and considerate employer, an unswerving friend, and a generous benefactor of the poor and needy. She was the dearly beloved of her family circle and relatives. [Her remains will be removed from her mother’s residence, for interment in the family burying-ground at Cloghcor, on to-morrow (Thursday, May 2), at eleven o’clock. DEVINE. – THE DEATH OF MR. T. DEVINE, STRABANE.
The sudden death of Mr. Thomas Devine, of The Locks, Strabane, was learned with deep regret by a large circle of friends over a wide area, Deceased, who took ill at his home and passed away a few hours later, was one of the best known and most popular figures in the agricultural life of the Strabane district, with which the family have had a long association. He was the father of the Rev. T. E. Devine, E.I., one of the most affectionately-esteemed priests in the Derry diocese, and to him, as well as to the other members of the bereaved family, the most heartfelt sympathy will be extended in their great loss. The funeral took place yesterday morning following Requiem Mass in Cloghcor Church at 10 o’clock (Londonderry Sentinel)
